In line with business expansion, TOYOKEIKI Co., Ltd. will shift to a new management structure as of June 28th, appointing Yasuhide Tsuchida as Chairman and Yasumasa Tsuchida as President.
The new chairman, Yasuhide Tsuchida, served as president for 23 years since the 50th fiscal year (1998), and has led the company through a period with major changes in the meter industry.
He launched a number of Japan’s first new products, such as HyC-5 hybrid counter, all-radio system, IoT-R, and prepaid meter, also put efforts on spreading solar power and has developed a "solar + gas" strategy.
Besides, he founded "Toyo Measurement Equipment History Museum" based on his old collection of weights and measures.
Through the new products and the history of weights and measures, the company has endeavored to increase the value of measurements by promoting that "measurement is the mother of civilization" and "civilization began with measurement.".
Yasumasa Tsuchida, the new president, completed his master's degree at Ryukoku University's Graduate School of Science and Engineering. During his graduate school, he studied at the University of California, Davis, and has basic research experience in such as ceramic materials for the exterior walls of NASA spacecraft.
He joined TOYOKEIKI Co., Ltd. in 2010 after working as an engineer at NAGANO KEIKI Co., Ltd., a leading manufacturer of pressure gauges and sensors.
At TOYOKEIKI Co., Ltd., after serving as manager of president's office, he led the reform of the production system as general manager of production. In 2018, he was appointed as vice president and has been active in taking the lead of smart water meters along with gas’s.
TOYOKEIKI Co., Ltd. now is a company with sales of 20-billion-yen scale. Under the new management structure, the company aims to achieve 30-billion-yen sales within the next five years.
