Contribute to CO2 Reduction with Environmentally Friendly Products

IoT-R, Eco-life Meter, Solar Power System

SDGs

IoT-R & Meters

As a manufacturer of measuring instruments, we contribute to reducing CO2 emissions by developing and selling environmentally friendly products.
For water and LPG application, “IoT-R” an automatic meter reading (AMR) terminal using LPWA communication technology, has domestically been sold more than 3.8 million units as of June 2024. AMR eliminates the need for vehicle transportations during manned meter readings. AMR by 3.8 million units of IoT-R results in approximately 8,140 tons of annual reduction in CO2 emissions.
And our “Eco Life Meter” a gas meter which reuses aluminum die-cast parts, reduces CO2 emissions by 38% (1,000 tons per 100,000 units) compared to conventional (brand-new) products.
In addition, we are dedicated to the spread of environmental products such as solar power generation / storage batteries, emergency gas generators, HEMS/BEMS, etc.
The solar power systems we have sold so far are equivalent to approximately 37,345 tons of CO2 reduction per year.
We will continue our efforts on further reductions of CO2 emissions through expanding sales of these environmentally friendly products and developing new products.

Toyo Measurement Equipment History Museum and Forest Protection

SDGs

Company-owned forest “Forest of Raicho”

Headquartered in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, our company contributes to building an abundant and sustainable local society, through social contribution activities beyond our core businesses.
The “Toyo Measurement Equipment History Museum” operated by our company is Japan's largest metrology history museum with a collection of 12,000 old weighing and measuring instruments related to measurement both domestically and internationally. Through a variety of valuable "scales," we continue to educate both local and global communities on the the importance of "manufacturing" and "measuring," as well as the changes in human wisdom.
In addition, our company owns vast company-owned forests with a total area of approximately 45 hectares in Nagano Prefecture. Through protection and preservation activities of the forests, we contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of local communities where a rich natural environment remains and comfortable to live.
Through these activities, we aim to increase the value of measurement, improve employee motivation, and promote the recruitment of talented individuals from within and outside the region.
